Biography

Olivia is a registered psychologist and holds an area of practice endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours and University Medal, and a PhD (Clinical Psychology), from the Australian National University. She has published research in the area of pain management and is a member of the Australian Pain Society and member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Therapeutic Approach

Olivia practises evidence-based therapy. The approach ultimately depends upon the client’s individual needs, with a shared formulation and agreed treatment plan. She predominantly utilises cognitive behavioural based interventions (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), although will also draw upon other Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Stress Reduction Techniques, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focussed CBT. Underpinning all treatment is an emphasis on compassion and creating a safe space where each client feels trust and support.
